Speakers

Feras Abou Shackra - Founding Member and Director of itSMF Gulf. Feras brings over 12 years of professional experience in strategy, planning, design and management of projects for the IT, financial and service management industry.  Recent years have seen him working with governments in the area of policies and procedures for Service Management. Feras is a core review member of the ISO 20K and IT Service Management International Board.

 

Mr. Gregory Trinh is a seasoned technology executive with over 17 years of experience designing and building enterprise business solutions, managing software development teams, architecting major system implementations and technology upgrade to create state of the art solutions that enhance information access and user productivity.  He has also demonstrated the ability to turn around underperforming business technologies into innovative and successfully rolled out solutions within budget.


As Head of Consulting Services for Injazat Data Systems, Mr. Trinh is closely involved in all areas of the business with particular focus on strategy, business development, sales, and operations.  Mr. Trinh currently focuses in helping CIOs and ICT Directors developing their IT Strategy and Roadmap on behalf of Injazat.


Mr. Trinh was Chief Technology Officer for US-based Gradian Software prior to joining Injazat in 2009. His extensive professional experience also includes stints as Director of Marketing Technology, Senior Manager of Solutions Development, and Director of Consulting Services for various global US-based businesses.  

 

Ms. Amal Al Ghaferi is the current IT Manager of the UAE’s National Rehabilitation Center (NRC), the Abu Dhabi – based institution overseeing national drug and alcohol addiction prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. She has almost five years of extensive experience in computer programming, software engineering, and IT operations management. 

Since joining NRC in September 2010, Ms. Al Ghaferi has led the Center’s IT strategic and operational planning, fostering innovation and developing an IT organizational structure in keeping with the unique needs of the organization. As a member of the senior management team, she has also made key contributions to NFC’s efficient governance. 

Prior to her current position, Ms. Al Ghaferi was the Chief Information Officer of BS Technologies, a subsidiary of the Bin Salem Holding Group.  She also served as a Software Engineer and then later on the Head of the IT Department of Akran Building Materials. 

Ms. Al Ghaferi is among the growing breed of women UAE Nationals who are making a mark in the IT community. She received her Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong in Dubai in 2010. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science from the Business Information Technology in 2006. Ms. Al Ghaheri is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist who has also received certification on IP Telephony from Cisco Systems.
